Our wheelchair-accessible class is a twelve-month program that caters to boys and girls between the ages of five and twenty-one with a range of physical, medical, and cognitive disabilities.
Students with physical disabilities have unique needs which are fully met in our wheelchair-accessible, inclusive classrooms.
Sensory-based instruction allows students to participate in lessons on thematic units. Devoted 1:1 paraprofessionals help children progress towards their communication, social, therapeutic, and ADL goals.
Our experienced team of physical, occupational and speech therapists guide our students in a variety of therapies. Students also benefit from top consultants in the fields of feeding, positioning, and AAC (augmentative and alternative communication) devices. Therapeutic activities are incorporated throughout the day so that students are constantly practicing important skills.
Our aquatic therapists use water buoyancy and resistance to help mobility-restricted students build body strength and cardiovascular fitness, teach sensory integration and body awareness, and relieve muscular spasticity, stress and pain. Music and animal therapies help students overcome their anxiety and learn important cognitive and social skills.
Facilities Built with Your Child in Mind
Our classrooms are customized with your child in mind. Stocked with state-of-the-art equipment and painted in bright colors, these rooms provide much-needed sensory stimulation and welcome students to explore.
Our goal is to provide a safe, supportive haven for learning. We work with our students to help them develop the skills they need to navigate the world independently.
Wheelchair-accessible buses have short routes and provide door-to-door service. We offer delicious, nutritious lunches every day, with accommodations made for specific dietary concerns.
